During the pandemic we are currently operating an EMERGENCY ONLY dental service. The pandemic has brought with it limitations to the treatments available to us and to you, the patient.

What should you do if you are experiencing a Dental emergency?

Call the surgery on 057 8662111 where our staff will ask a series of questions to assess your condition. If the number is not answered please leave a message and we will call you back. Alternatively email info@laoisdentist.ie . The phone is not manned all day, so it is advisable to call between 10am and 1pm.

Please note our staff have volunteered to continue this service to our patients, we are experiencing high volumes of calls which take time to assess, please be patient and understanding.

We are NOT operating a drop in clinic, DO NOT attend unless you have an appointment.

Christmas 2019

Well it's been a busy lead up to Christmas at Churchview Dental with the Christmas rush starting early this year! If you didn't manage to get booked in for your annual Check-up and Hygiene visit under your PRSI contributions your allowance is not lost! Be sure to book before the end of the year and with your permission, we can check your eligibility online; the Department will then hold your eligibility until the New Year.
Just in case you have a dental emergency over the Christmas break our opening hours are on the picture. If you need an appointment urgently leave a message on the answer machine and we'll get back to you when we are next in. Please be sure to leave your name and number clearly! Please call first so we can give you the best time to come. We don't like to keep you waiting.
Hoping you have a wonderful Christmas and a Prosperous 2019, we look forward to seeing you in the New Year (unless you have an emergency in the meantime!)

To note: We are having some issues with Eir and our phone lines, if you are using a Virgin phone, please use this number 057 8666746. Conversely, if you are a Vodafone customer you must use the main number 057 8662111!
We are in negotiation with Comreg as this anomaly was brought to our attention in mid October and is still not rectified or acknowledged by Eir. Apologies if this has effected you.

Free check up under Dental Benefits Scheme

The year is coming to an end and it's time to remind everyone to use their well earned Free check up and reduced price clean, after all you've paid for it in your PRSI contributions!
Both the Self employed and employees are entitled to this allowance once per calendar year. There are some limitations as to length of employment, these vary according to age, you can check out the exact details on the Welfare page here.
In addition, dependent spouses are also eligible, however due to the GDPR regulations a form has to be completed and approved prior to treatment, this takes a couple of weeks. Forms are available at the dental practice for collection.
There is more information available here.
If time is really catching up on you pre-Christmas, then give us a call on 0578662111, arrange an appointment for early January and grant us permission to check your eligibility (this can be done by text message), your 2019 allowance will be held for 100 days from time of checking online.

New Year News 2019

New Year brings new beginnings and resolutions to many of us! At Churchview Dental we often have an influx of patients requesting sedation as they endeavour to overcome dental phobia. We can hear the nervous voice of a patient who has gathered up all of their courage just to make a call and arrange an appointment. Dentistry can be such a fear for some.
We try and make your call and of course your visit as trouble free as we can. At the initial consultation the dentist will talk through your decision and check your oral and physical health and together decide on the best course of treatment for you.
If you are considering dental treatment under sedation or know someone who might benefit from this service, feel free to give us a call or send an email and we can give you further information.
